The alumina ceramics which are typical existence of new ceramics,
have various properties and excellent performance. Especially, they have the greatest
mechanical strength among all kinds of ceramics and have excellent electrical
and thermal properties.
We can select the almina fraction from 80 to 99% in accordance with different
purpose. The main raw material is aluminum oxide (Al2O3),
and it is varied in sintering at high temperature of 1700¡î into crystal of fine
corundum. |

| Steatites are produced from natural talc (3MgO/4SiO2/H2O)
in their main constituent. When natural talc is sintered at a high temperature,
the composition changes into magnesium meta silicate, which is the principal ingredient
of steatites. Steatites are widely used for high frequency application of electronic
components. Since they can easily be formed, they have much economy in mass production. |
 |
| The main ingredient is magnesium ortho silicate (2MgO/SiO2).
In comparison with steatite they have better high frequency property. However,
they are quite sensitive to thermal shock because of comparatively high coefficient
of thermal expansion. As Foresterite has the property of this thermal expansion,
it is possible to realize practical connection with metal by metalizing. Furthermore,
they can be applied in various field as dielectric loss is so small in microwave
frequency range. |
